n 1999, Amy Harcourt formed Definitive Marketing, a marketing consulting firm that specializes in strategic, creative, results-driven marketing solutions.

Amy's background in traditional and interactive marketing has enabled her and her team to help clients develop robust marketing programs, advertising campaigns and marketing communication tools that are dynamic and engaging.

Amy graduated with honors from Grinnell College with a liberal arts degree in English. From there, she became a National Accounts Manager for Human Synergistics Inc., marketing management consulting services to Fortune 500 companies.

She later joined the headquarters of Little Professor Book Centers, Inc., a national bookstore franchiser as their Marketing and Sales Director. Over the course of seven years, Amy directed the marketing efforts of 150+ retail bookstores, as well as the development of new franchises nationwide.

After leaving Little Professor, Amy became the Executive Director of the State Street Area Association, a 170+ member business organization located in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan.

In 1997, Amy helped launch Michigan Live, a Newhouse-owned news and information web site with comprehensive marketing that helped make it the state's most visited site.

Amy's thoughts on marketing have appeared in numerous publications including The Detroit Free Press, Crain's Detroit Business, The Ann Arbor News, Insider Business Journal, B2B, and in the book, Internet Jobs for the Rest of Us. Amy was also a regular contributor to DM News, a direct marketing trade publication.
